Managing Director, Organisational Capability / Change Management
Karen is the Managing Director at Mango and combines leadership development theory together with years of practical leadership experience. Karen has worked with Mango’s clients to create effective people development solutions and align people strategy to business strategy. Throughout her years of consulting she has worked one-on-one with leaders at all levels in a consulting and coaching capacity.
Prior to forming Mango, Karen worked for large corporate, government, and not-for-profit organisations holding key leadership positions in Perth, Sydney and Canberra and has worked internationally in the USA and Indonesia.
Karen’s strengths are in her ability to provide engaging, pragmatic learning and coaching experiences to ensure leadership knowledge and skills are more easily transferred into workplace practice. Her focus on learning ‘as an everyday activity’ impacts on her approach to leadership development and building organisational capability.
In her voluntary capacity, Karen was on the Board of Directors for Women’s Forum Australia, a think-tank into women’s issues, which provides research and policy advice to governments, and aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of women. Personally committed to continuous learning, Karen has completed an MBA and an Organisational Change Management qualification.
To facilitate a smooth transition Mango was contracted to develop an induction training program, for incoming clinical staff, for 10 core clinical applications, and provide ICT and administrative support for the “Go Live” period.
Develop easy to use trainer and trainee resources using just the Operations Manuals and related documents as guides. Supervisors needed to be up-skilled in order to train effectively provided with resources and assessment tools that were easy to use as well as simple to follow reference guides for the equipment operators.
