Reduced risk, improved knowledge management

The Client

Major Global Resources Company

The Challenge

As part of a global initiative, the client embarked on an implementation of EMC Documentum as their Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS). The aim was to reduce risk, improve consistency of operations and ensure all personnel were equipped to work effectively with the new technology. Mango was engaged to provide planning and project implementation support for the internal project manager, undertake User Acceptance Testing, data migration support and end‐to‐end training services for every department across all sites.

Our Approach

The level of our involvement was due to our multi-skilled team, depth of understanding of business requirements, change management, and our team’s large cross section of strong relationships throughout the organisation.

This approach ensured that the extensive business knowledge gained throughout the project was retained within the team, giving them credibility with the business and making them more effective change agents.

The Outcome

Mango successfully supported the implementation of the new system in all divisions and departments, thereby improving the consistency of information management (IM) practices and reducing the associated IM risks. The Mango team also ensured the client’s internal team were capable of training new starters and providing ongoing business support to ensure the desired business benefits continue to be realised.
